Adult Programs

The Adult Developmental Program is a private not for profit program that serves adults who are over 18 years old. It is dedicated to preserving rights and cultivating abilities and talents of disabled adults. The goal of the program is to promote adult independence to the fullest extent possible and participate fully in all areas of community life.

Philosophy

The Adult Developmental Program grew out of the need to provide services to adults who have "aged out" of their educational children's program. The basic premise of the adult developmental training program is to provide quality services and support based on the principles of informed choice, personal dignity, responsibility and individualization. These choices will give each adult the freedom to control his/her environment throughout the day. The result of adults' decisions will prepare him/her in gaining independence and self- sufficiency.
