NHC's Speech and Language Pathologist utilizes an Augmentative Communication Device with a student. These devices give a student the opportunity to communicate his/her choices and needs. Assistive Technology equipment increases independence

Proper feeding, drinking and swallowing skills promote good nutrition and increase the quality of life. They are also precursors to sound production and verbal utterances. The emphasis of programming at New Horizon Center is total communication and feeding intervention.
