Letter from the Executive Director

Dear Friends:

As you navigate our Web site, you will notice that the word commitment is the central message that is conveyed throughout.

New Horizon Center for the Developmentally Disabled has a strong commitment to:

  • our students and adults with severe disabilities and autism, and to their families
  • our staff, board of directors and our administration
  • our community organizations and businesses that partner with us
Without commitment, New Horizon Center would have no purpose, direction or mission. Commitment is the foundation of our existence.

New Horizon Center is a wonderful place that has been helping to fulfill the hopes and dreams of children and adults with severe disabilities and their families for more than 41 years. Our center provides exceptional programs, services and therapies that address fundamental learning and basic functional skills. Our professional team members are the nucleus of our educational and training programs that allow students and adults to gain and achieve successes never before attempted, or even imagined.

Our mission is to provide education and training to students and adults with disabilities and autism. Our goal everyday is to bring them a quality of life that may one day make them as self-sufficient and independent as possible. Our programs will empower our students and adults with disabilities to participate in meaningful activities, explore community resources and partnerships, and experience enjoyable leisure-time opportunities with their peers.

We invite you to learn more about our mission and services by exploring our web site.

Please contact us; we will welcome you into our center for a tour and the opportunity to meet some of our special children and adults.

Sincerely,
Carole Kilcoyne
Executive Director
